My buddy Marty building the frame. This is the only part of the job besides sewing the curtains that I didn't do by myself. I designed the frame tho. 1/8" 2x2 square tube is sold from Steel mills by the 24 foot length. My design uses 2 "sticks" @ $50/stick before tax in 2008 and utilizes all of this material with only 4 inches left over, AND is laid out to where the 24 foot sections can both be quickly cut in half at the factory so the four 12 foot sections can be easily transported home in a regular truck. The farther back the a-frame goes to the axle the more stable the trailer is, my design goes all the way back to the axle and has a center section for the tongue coupler.
